A More Joyful, Healthier Life

Why try counseling?

If I try to distill the reasons, I always come back to this one: to work toward a healthier, more joyful life, in a safe, supportive, and professional environment and process. That's it!

That is why I as a consumer go to a counselor myself, and it is why I as a narrative therapist offer counseling services to my clients.

I really believe in the power of what happens between therapist and client. Through the therapeutic bond, safety and support are established, and hope reigns. My clients will find their strengths, or rediscover those strengths, in the therapy process with me, and this will lead them toward a healthier, more joyful way of life.

Hopeful

This month I began a private practice endeavor, doing narrative therapy at a small private practice at a beautiful office-share consortium of therapists in Seattle. My website is up and open at:

My email is working at:

And my confidential voice-mail is ready at:

(206) 962-0221. Your messages to me there are confidential and I will return your call promptly and with discretion.

I am hopeful that soon I will have the opportunity to meet and work with wonderful people in my private practice. The therapy clients I have worked with thus far in my training, at practicum sites in Minnesota and Washington, have all been amazing people who have shown me that there is much reason to be hopeful.

I have seen real change take place in my clients' lives. I have heard from my counseling clients that coming to therapy and working with me has been "life-changing," "truly life-saving," and "powerful." How is this possible? I look forward to learning more from each of my therapy clients as together we walk and learn.
